Victoria Beckham and Tess Daly-loved 'miracle in a tube' cream now £9 off

Popular with shoppers, beauty editors and even celebrities, it's hard to find someone who hasn't heard of Elizabeth Arden's famous Eight Hour Cream Skin Protectant. The product has been a staple in many a beauty bag over the years, and now there's a chance to get it on sale.

Elizabeth Arden's Eight Hour Cream is reported to be loved by Victoria Beckham, with Harper's Bazaar saying back in 2013 that the Spice Girl and designer said she uses the product 'throughout the day.' Another celeb fan is Jennifer Aniston, who shared in a video on Harper's Bazaar's Instagram that she was introduced to the product in the late '90s and was told 'you'll be addicted to this,' sharing that 'sure enough, she was right.'

Elizabeth Arden, nata Florence Nightingale Graham (Woodbridge 31 dicembre 1878 – New York 19 ottobre 1966), è stata un’imprenditrice canadese, fondatrice dell’omonima azienda di ccosmetici.

Nata in Ontatio, dove ha vissuto fino all’età di 24 anni, nel 1909 abbandona la scuola per infermiere di Toronto, e raggiunge il fratello maggiore a New York, dove lavora per un breve periodo presso l’estetista Eleanor Adair. Nello stesso anno fonda il business chiamato Elizabeth Arden, che le viene suggerito dal nome di un’amica e dal poema Enoch arden di Alfred Tennyson.

Nel 1912 apprende le tecniche del massaggio al viso nei saloni di bellezza parigini, e tornata a New York rivoluziona il mondo dei cosmetici con nuove tonalità di rossetti. Dopo aver collaborato con il farmacista A. Fabian Swanson, crea una crema per il viso, chiamata Venetian Cream Amoretta, ed una corrispondente lozione, la Arden Skin Tonic che ottengono un grande successo. Ancora, crea fondotinta che si abbinano al colore naturale della pelle, e inventa l’idea del “total look”, in cui labbra, guance e unghie sono coordinate nello stesso colore.

Descubrí este bálsamo mágico hace unos dos o tres años, después de regalarle a mi hermana uno de esos packs navideños que sacan muchas marcas a buen precio en ocasiones especiales y que suponen una oportunidad para hacerte con varios productos, tanto si quieres probarlos como si necesitas reponer tus mini tallas de viaje.
